Yamunanagar was formed as a new district of Haryana on 16 October, 1989.
The district is bordered by Himachal Pradesh and the districts of Karnal, Kurukshetra and Ambala.
Dadupur, Kalesar Forest, Hathni Kund and Tajewala barrage. Another not to be missed place is the Ch Devi Lal Herbal Park are visiting places.
Yamunanagar town has many large industries in plywood, paper, sugar, metal and utensils sector.
